BackBench (“Back-Bench”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is an academic productivity platform engineered to help college and university students organize coursework, track attendance, consolidate schedules, and access course materials in one unified dashboard.

When registering for BackBench, you provide your name, email address, and authentication credentials. You may also specify your college, campus, department, course, semester, or academic section to personalize your timetable and course channels.

To deliver schedule and attendance tracking, the service stores subjects you enroll in, class timetable slots, attendance marks (classes held, attended, or missed), target percentages, and course deadlines you input.
C. User Content & Study Materials
When using features like the Study Library, Classwork, or community Vault, students may upload or share course notes, assignments, syllabi, study guides, and peer-created reference bundles. These files are stored securely and associated with your authenticated account, course channel, or bundle access permissions.
D. Support & Direct Communications
If you email us at work@furqansiddiqui.me for technical support, feature feedback, or college inquiries, we collect your email address and message contents to respond to your request.
E. Technical & Operational Logs
When connecting to the service, our hosting infrastructure records standard technical request data such as IP address, browser user-agent, operating system, and request timestamps to maintain uptime, detect security threats, and prevent denial-of-service attacks.
4. How We Use Information
We process collected information strictly for operational and educational purposes:
- Providing Core Functionality: Authenticating your identity, presenting your custom timetable, computing subject-level attendance scenarios in BunkBuddy, and delivering assignment deadline reminders.
- Study Materials & Content Access: Securing, organizing, and delivering study materials you upload or access through the Study Library, community Vault bundles, or course resource channels.

What we do NOT do: We do not sell your personal data. We do not license your files to data brokers. We do not run third-party advertising networks. We do not feed your private notes or submissions into automated public machine learning models.

Upon verified request, your personal account records and uploaded content will be permanently purged from active databases within a commercially reasonable timeframe, subject only to routine encrypted system backups and legal retention requirements.

11. Student & Children's Privacy
BackBench is designed for college, university, and post-secondary students. If you believe that a child under 13 has registered without parental or institutional consent, please notify us at work@furqansiddiqui.me so we can investigate and delete the applicable data promptly.
